Oscar Jerome – ‘Subdued’

Oscar Jerome’s first delivery of 2017 soars to top spot for this week’s track of the week.

Carefully crafted in a way only Oscar Jerome can pull together, he combines dark, raw guitar, a rolling beat and his exceptional vocals that flit from conversational to the downright catchy. The construction is a masterclass in Jerome’s style, showing off both his production skill and undeniable talent for the guitar.

The release follows on from last year’s critically-acclaimed, four track self-titled EP which threw Jerome into the limelight. With hits like ‘Give back what you stole from me’ and ‘2 sides’, the record saw his experimental blend of jazz and hip-hop garner impressive sessions with Boiler Room, Worldwide FM, Balamii and more.

We had the pleasure of seeing him play live earlier this week and in case you’re wondering – yes, he was phenomenal. But if you missed it it, don’t worry. Here’s a little taster from a Hendrix Flat session a few months back.
